Like when creating the ALE, the initial settings need to be completed. Set the destination Filename including the correct extension (.pdf). Set
Source shots as Specied Roll and choose the correct Roll from the list. You can also enter a name for the Author of the Shot Report, and set
the Timecode frame rate to be correct for the project:
Then click DO IT to create your PDF Shot Report.
Creating a final ALE
If the project is being edited in Avid then providing an ALE with editing les is useful for two reasons:
1. The ALE can be imported with the editing les, allowing the editor to view all the original metadata for the shots in the Avid software.
2. The ALE shows the number of original shots meaning the editor can conrm that the correct number of editing les have been delivered
to them.
To create the nal ALE to send to the editor, follow the same steps as when creating the rst ALE, but this time it is important to set the
Timecode frame rate to be correct for the project:
